Rolling Stock Maintenance
We have extensive experience in maintenance development for various rolling stock projects. The experience includes the introduction of new passenger and freight Rolling Stock projects and in particular safety critical systems such as Bogies and Braking systems. Maintenance documentation can be created in partnership with the OEM to ensure that a robust maintenance regime that is easily followed by shop floor staff is implemented. The maintenance documentation can include routine and overhaul instructions along with fault finding guides. Any training literature or training courses can be created to suit the customers need to ensure the efficient transfer the knowledge onto the appropriate staff.
We have experience in the development of alternative maintenance regimes and taking risk based approaches to maintenance which were successfully implemented. This approach changed the A exams from 7 days to 28 days.
We can manage the trials of alternative components which may be needed to optimise the maintenance periodicities for the fleets. The service would be tailored to suit each contract however, we could organise the periodic condition assessments such as dimensional reports and NDT reports. We have links with a team of sub-contract labour that have been used and can be contracted to assist who may also be used to change out the components to start the trials. Engineering change forms and associated approvals can be managed on the customer’s behalf if needed.
